The Soldier's Dream
As a kid, the dream of becoming a soldier never left me. Fast forwarding to 1995, I found myself donning the uniform and stepping onto a path that would shape my life in ways beyond my wildest imagination. Little did I know, years later, this decision would lay the foundation for a mission that would become the heartbeat of Pink Roofing, LLC.
Rise to Leadership
Assigned as an aviation helicopter technician, I discovered not just a love for electronics but an unexpected passion for fitness. Despite my initial aversion, I soon found myself leading the fitness program for the entire unit of over 100 soldiers. This is where the love for training others began. Through two deployments to Bosnia during Operation SFOR in 1997 and 1998, I grew not just in rank but in my understanding of leadership after 5 years of service. Little did I realize that this was just the beginning of my journey in shaping my new found passion and the destinies of those around me.
The Entrepreneurial Flame
Even in the structured environment of the military, an entrepreneurial flame burned within me. The roots of Pink Roofing LLC were unknowingly planted during my military service. The idea of creating something meaningful, impactful, and supportive was always there, waiting for the right moment to sprout into reality.
Faith, Leadership, and Discovery
Faith has always been my guiding light. Having traveled to 30+ countries while active duty, the military became the anchor that steadied me through challenges and uncertainties. As my faith grew, so did my leadership skills. I delved into leadership roles, from leading the fitness program to heading aviation maintenance and deployment teams, I realized that leadership isn't confined to a military setting; it's a requirement in every facet of life. It was my first taste of leading and influencing, a skill that would prove invaluable in the journey ahead.
Advocating for Future Leaders
Now, at the helm of Pink Roofing, LLC my mission extends beyond leadership and roofing. It's about supporting single mothers, a cause close to my heart. The upsides and downsides of leaving the military have shaped not just my career but my character.
